Ghanaian preacher Kwaku Agyei Antwi, widely known as Rev. Obofour, has urged young men to take a more deliberate approach to choosing partners and structuring their future, stressing discipline, planning, and financial stability.
In a video shared online, the preacher encouraged young men to think beyond the present and make choices that position them for long-term stability.
He explained that building a solid financial base is key to enjoying a stable and fulfilling intimate life, adding that some lifestyles often mistaken for enjoyment are misleading.
He also cautioned that experiences in hotels and guest houses should not be confused with real relationship fulfillment.
“If you want to grow old, you have to hustle and make money so that a good woman can give you a fulfilling relationship. What you experience in movie houses and guest houses is not enjoyable, even though you may think that it is ideal.
“You are not truly enjoying that, which is why family planning is important. If it is not done properly, it can affect a woman’s health, including her menstrual cycle. As a man, you have to plan your life well. If you are not ready to leave a certain lifestyle, don’t start something that will affect your future,” he said.
Rev Obofour further pushed the message that men should be intentional about the partners they choose, warning that some relationships can eventually lead to public embarrassment if not handled wisely.
“If you don’t plan your life properly and you live recklessly, you will regret it. If you notice any woman who may publicly embarrass you, it is better to walk away.
“Also, if you believe having many children will become a burden, consider limiting it because school fees are expensive. Practise proper family planning,” Rev. Obofour advised.
