Ivor Kobina Greenstreet has become the flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) for the December polls after defeating two other aspirants in the party’s Presidential primaries held today.
Ivor Greenstreet who was the presidential candidate of the CPP in the 2016 elections pulled 213 votes defeating Bright Akwetey who had 27 and Divine Ayivor who gathered 14 votes.
Other new executives who were elected to steer the affairs of the party include; Nana Yaa Akyempim Jantuah is the new General Secretary she defeated James Kwabena Bomfeh known in the political circles as Kabila. Nana Akosua Sarpong Kumankuma is the new Chairperson, Emmanuel Ogbojor also defeated Onsy Kwame Nkrumah to become the Vice Chairman.
Other new executives are;Hajia Aisha Sulley, Women Organiser, Moses Ambing Yirimbo, National Organiser, Osei Kofi Acquah , Natioal Youth Organiser and Emmanuel Opare Oduro the Treasurer.
