Yeji: NPP Chairman, Others Call For Removal of DCE

The Pru East Chairman of the NPP, Yussif Appe Apetorgbor and nine other executives of the party are calling for the removal of the District Chief Executive, Alhaji Adams Abdulaih for non-performance.

A letter written and signed by the ten executives is calling for the removal of the DCE, Alhaji Adams Abdulaih.

Some of the allegations against the DCE is that, “First and foremost, there is complete lack of Party-government relationship in Pru East. Since his assumption of office, Alhaji Adam Abdulai has not made any effort to get the party close to the government. There have been several events that took place in his regime without inviting the party. These include: donation of assorted equipment and cash to people living with disability, election of Presiding member, creation of landing beaches and what have you.

They also added that, “He wouldn’t discuss any government project with the party so that it would be aired on our radio programmes for our constituents to know what the NPP government has done and still doing for them. The New Patriotic Party is really bleeding under Hon. Alhaji Adam Abdulai. He does virtually everything at the blind side of the party.”

Another allegation they cited is that, “ The DCE gives contracts to only a well-known card bearing and financier of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who is in the person of PRINSAPP. As we speak there is an ongoing 3-unit classroom block construction at Jaklai (a suburb of Yeji) which has been awarded to the said NDC financier. What wrong at all has the party done to deserve this kind of treatment? The party is really bleeding here in Pru East.”

The group also added that “, Premix fuel has been used in many ways by the DCE to render our party unpopular through hoarding and extortionate price of the commodity.”

However, another group made up of six executives have debunked the allegations made against the DCE.
