Men Ministry Of LSIWC Supports Remar Ghana Rehabilitation Center

As part of activities to mark this year’s Fathers’ Day, the Men Ministry of Living Springs International Worship Center of the Assemblies of God in Abesim has provided aid to Remar Ghana Rehabilitation Center in the Bono Region.

The rehabilitation center since 2016 has served as a correction home for street children and those with special needs within the region.

Feikaab Naanduug Gorden, President of the Men Ministry, Living Springs International Worship Center A/G said their aim is to strengthen and make a positive impact on the lives of children in the center.

‘‘As a fellowship, we have come to put smiles on the faces of these little ones. It is one of the mandates of the church to support the less privileged.

We believe that it is important we do not only present the Gospel to people but we should be able to meet the needs of people in society,’’ he said.

Items presented for the upkeep of the children included, bags of rice, and gallons of cooking oil, soap, water, assorted drinks, and toiletries.

Currently, the center has 20 children who are undergoing various forms of rehabilitation to be reintegrated back into society.

Director of the center, Bior Mingle, expressed gratitude for the assistance.  He however called for further support from individuals and associations to help them address the challenges they are faced with.

According to Mr. Bior, the facility needs continuous support particularly in paying utilities bills and other unforeseen emergencies that may arise.

‘‘Taking care of these children daily does not come easy. We sometimes run out of food and unforeseen medical bills also come to make the situation difficult to handle. We need the support of everyone so that we can take good care of these children, bring them up so that they can also help the country’’, Mr. Bior said.
