“Go to Hell” – Afia Schwarzenegger Scoffs at Sammy Gyamfi’s GH¢10M Defamation Suit

Afia Schwarzenegger

Afia Schwarzenegger has brushed off a defamation lawsuit filed against her by Ghana Gold Board (GOLDBOD) CEO Sammy Gyamfi, claiming it will amount to nothing.

In a video posted on social media on July 23, 2025, Afia, whose real name is Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, made it clear she has no intention of taking the case seriously. She asserted that the GH¢10 million suit would meet the same fate as a similar legal action involving broadcaster Kevin Taylor.

“Have you seen how Kevin Taylor’s case went? That is the same way our case would go. Kevin Taylor has insulted Otumfour, Chief Imam, yet he walks free,” she said, drawing parallels to what she believes will be the outcome of her own case.

Unfazed by the legal proceedings, Afia openly ridiculed Gyamfi’s effort to seek damages and dismissed any likelihood of paying him compensation.

“Sammy Gyamfi, go to hell. Go and receive a defunct judgment. You have won the case. Moreover, I don’t have a pesewa in Ghana for you to take if you win the case. I don’t have any property in Ghana,” she added defiantly.

The suit, filed by Gyamfi on the same day as Afia’s response, July 23, alleges that she defamed him by accusing him of cheating, engaging in affairs outside marriage, and buying cars for female students at the University of Ghana.

According to court documents, Gyamfi is seeking three main remedies: a restraining order to bar Afia from making any further statements about him, a formal public apology to be circulated on her social media platforms and in a national newspaper, and GH¢10 million in damages.

Despite the weight of the allegations and financial demand, Afia Schwarzenegger remains unmoved, characteristically meeting fire with fire.
