Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, well known as Agradaa, says she was already bracing herself for a jail term long before the court officially pronounced its decision.
During a livestream with Kweku Addo on May 8, 2026, she explained that she had mentally accepted the possibility of imprisonment and even made personal preparations ahead of the ruling.
“I knew that they would jail me through the trials. I told my husband that they would jail me today,” she said.
She further revealed that she took practical steps before heading to court on the day of the judgment, including packing several outfits.
“When I was leaving home, I selected about twenty outfits for them to keep for me. I told them I knew I wouldn’t come back home, so if I needed any dresses, they should pick the ones I selected,” she explained.
According to her, the direction of the court proceedings gradually shaped her expectations about the outcome.
“If you have a case in court and, through the trials, you see how the case is going, you will know whether it will favour you or not,” she shared.
She added that the unfolding events in court made the eventual sentence less surprising to her.
“It came to me that, from the way it was going, they would jail me. I wasn’t really shocked because I was ready for everything,” Nana Agradaa further stated.
“I told my husband that they would jail me today and that I wouldn’t be coming back home, so I selected 20 clothes for him to bring to me. I was ready for everything, so I wasn’t shocked.”
