Ghanaian singer and entrepreneur, Belinda Nana Ekuah Amoah, widely known as Mzbel, has denied viral claims linking her to a supposed intimate encounter with King Promise.
The controversy stems from a social media post that circulated as a news card, alleging that Mzbel had confessed to sharing a private moment with King Promise during a studio session. The claim quickly gained traction online, sparking conversation and speculation.
Addressing the issue during an appearance on United Showbiz, Mzbel dismissed the story outright, describing it as fabricated and damaging to her reputation. She stressed that there is no truth to the allegations and expressed concern over how easily such narratives can spread.
She further clarified that her connection with King Promise is nonexistent, stating they have never crossed paths in person, much less worked together in a studio.
“The rumours about King Promise and me are not true. They claimed I said King Promise touched my breast in the studio and that I enjoyed it, but that we didn’t have sexual intercourse. I have never said anything like that.
“I haven’t even met King Promise in person before, let alone such an incident happening. I have never been in a studio with him,” she said.
Despite the controversy, Mzbel revealed she remains open to a professional collaboration with the artiste in the future. However, she admitted the ongoing rumours could complicate that possibility.
“I am hoping that one day, I will record a song with him, but these rumours circulating on social media may even make him decline if I reach out for a feature,” the ’16 Years’ singer stated.
