Popular Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy, has publicly applauded the current government for what he views as a strong and encouraging start, particularly highlighting its engagement with the Creative Arts sector.
In an interview on Hitz FM, the award-winning artiste, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, spoke highly of the administration’s performance since taking office earlier this year.
“The NDC has been in power for almost seven months, and their performance is very impressive,” he noted.
Stonebwoy singled out President John Dramani Mahama’s appointment of individuals from the arts and entertainment world to key government positions, calling it a smart and meaningful move. He pointed to notable figures such as actress Kalsoume Sinari and actor-turned-politician John Dumelo as examples of how the creative industry is gaining well-deserved visibility and influence in national affairs.
Expressing full confidence in their ability to lead effectively, he added:
“I believe the people appointed by the President in the Creative Arts industry will deliver and make a difference.”
Stonebwoy believes this new wave of inclusion signals not only recognition for the sector but also an opportunity for creatives to shape policy and contribute to national development in impactful ways.
