UK-based Ghanaian actress and singer Stephanie Benson has shared candid advice for couples navigating the challenges of marriage.
In an Instagram video posted on February 19, 2026, Benson reflected on the early days of her own marriage, revealing how her circle of single friends nearly caused trouble in her relationship.
She explained that, in those days, she often sought guidance from friends who had little understanding of married life.
“If not for my husband’s loyalty, some of my friends might have attempted to become intimate with him,” she confessed.
“When we got married, I didn’t have any married friends, so I used to tell my single friends everything. After our discussions, she would also tell her friends. It got to a point where all of them behaved suspiciously whenever I was around.
“Some were even behaving seductively toward my husband. Assuming my husband wasn’t a good and faithful man, they would have slept with him,” she added.
Benson urged young couples to be cautious about who they confide in regarding marital struggles. She suggested turning to trustworthy family members or experienced married individuals rather than casual friends.
“You can speak to your mother or a sibling you trust. Or better still, look for a married person who is living an exemplary lifestyle and confide in them,” Stephanie Benson advised.
