“I’m very familiar with the chieftaincy titles in Ghana. I’ve had the opportunity to know a few of the chiefs that are in Ghana. However, the whole thing is still new to me and very overwhelming, you know you don’t go to sleep one night and wake up one morning to be told that you’ve been made a chief, so yes it’s still new,” said Clottey in a conversation with TheAfricanDream.net a week after he started occupying the position.

“I am as overwhelmed as I’m really appreciative for the opportunity to serve the people of Vakpo and I look forward to doing the best we can, and receiving all the help I can from those who are in the position to be of assistance. It’s a great opportunity and also a great blessing, and I hope I leave a great legacy, he added.
