“Anyone Who Reports TV Stations Airing My Movies Without Consent Will Be Rewarded” – Lilwin Announces

Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, is taking a hard line against what he says is the unauthorised use of his work on television, offering a cash reward to anyone who helps expose it.

In a video posted online, the Kumawood actor and producer appealed to viewers to keep an eye on local TV stations and flag any of his films or series being aired without permission. He promised compensation for anyone who can back their claim with credible proof.

Lilwin made it clear his focus is strictly on projects he owns as a producer, not older films where he appeared only as an actor. Those, he explained, fall outside his control since he was paid for his role and holds no rights to them.

“Anyone who would draw my attention to the TV stations airing my movies without my consent, I will reward the person handsomely. I’m not talking about the old movies because they’re not mine. I was just featured and I got paid. I’m talking about the current movies and series I produced,” he said.

To support his effort, he asked fans to capture short clips as evidence and send them directly to him via social media or WhatsApp, stressing that even brief recordings would be enough to make a case.

“Whenever you see any of my movies on TV, kindly tag me on all my social media platforms. If you have my number, you can send it on WhatsApp too and I will give you money. Get enough time and tune in to all TV stations to confirm for me. You can take a 10-second video of it and send it to me,” he stated.

He also revealed that some stations have already been contacted and given time to address the issue. According to him, those discussions are ongoing, but he is prepared to escalate matters if there is no response within the agreed window.

“All those who have already aired it, I’ve spoken to them and asked them to talk to their team. There’s a limited time I gave them, but if I don’t hear from them, I will serve them a letter,” he cautioned.

Beyond the immediate dispute, Lilwin pointed to the financial strain behind filmmaking, explaining that producers often dip into personal funds to keep projects alive and push the industry forward.

“It’s not easy to produce a movie and we will not allow anyone to waste our effort. Sometimes, the money we’re supposed to feed on, we use it to make the movies so that my brand and our industry can grow,” the famous actor stated.
