Martha Ankomah denies claims that court ordered Lilwin to pay GHS 300,000

Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has refuted claims that the court ordered Lilwin to pay GHS 300,000 following their recent legal proceedings over her defamation lawsuit.

Reports surfaced days ago suggesting that Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, had been directed to compensate Ankomah with GHS 300,000. However, in an interview with Mike 2 on Adom FM, she dismissed the claims as false.

According to Ankomah, the court only instructed Lilwin to issue a formal apology, which will be reviewed in their next appearance. If the apology meets both her and the court’s expectations, further steps will be determined from there.

She emphasized that she does not seek financial compensation from Lilwin but hopes the case serves as a lesson for him and others. Ankomah stressed the importance of responsible speech, noting that it is unacceptable for individuals to publicly defame others.

Addressing why she rejected Lilwin’s initial apology, the actress explained that it lacked sincerity and did not meet the standards of a proper apology.

Martha Ankomah initially filed a GHS 5 million defamation lawsuit against Lilwin over his alleged derogatory remarks about her.

Below is her reaction.
