With Ghana looking to reset after a difficult outing, head coach Otto Addo has backed his side to respond positively when they line up against Germany in their final friendly of the March international break.
The Ghana national football team will meet the German side in Stuttgart on Monday at 18:45 GMT, a fixture coming just days after their 5-1 loss to Austria national football team in Vienna. That heavy defeat has intensified questions around Ghana’s readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup build-up.
Addo, however, says the focus inside the camp has shifted quickly from disappointment to analysis and correction, with the aim of producing a far more disciplined performance.
“We’ve had a lot of things to analyze after the last game, which was a big, big woe for us,” he told the media ahead of Monday’s encounter.
“We had a lot of things to talk through, analyze through and even though we face a stronger opponent, I am optimistic that we can handle the situation.”
He maintained that preparations had been completed and attention was now on execution against a high-level opponent in Stuttgart.
“We are ready; this is our last training, and we will try to prepare the last things and look forward for tomorrow,” he added.
