Liberia Deputy Education Minister In Ghana For COVID-19 Treatment

The Liberia Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Administration, Latim Da-thong has been flown into Accra and is undergoing treatment Covid-19.

Information gathered by First News has it that Amb. Latim Da-thong was flown into Ghana over the weekend for treatment as his condition was deteriorating.

The Minister of Education of Liberia, Prof Ansu D Sonii is also currently being treated for COVID-19 at the 14 Military Hospital off the Robertsfield Highway in Liberia.

The Liberia Information Minister, Lenn Eugene Nagbe noted that Latim Da-thong needed to be flown to Accra for treatment as his condition was not the best.

Liberian President George Weah has extended a state of emergency over the COVID-19 pandemic by 30 days as cases of the pandemic keep increasing.

Despite compulsory mask-wearing and stay-at-home orders cases are still on the increase.

Liberia has so far recorded 652 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 34 deaths.
